Do a Fundraiser

We can always use more funds to help drive our development timeline. Could you run a fundraiser at work, at school, or in your church or community group? Here are some ideas for ways to get people involved and have a little fun along the way.

At work:

  • Dress down days.
  • Charity of the year status.
  • Sports relays/challenges.
  • Raffles.
  • Sweepstakes.

School:

  • Fancy dress days.
  • Adventure challenges.
  • Concerts or plays.
  • Sponsored swim/run/walk.
  • Book swap and sale.

Community:

  • Cake sales.
  • Charity dinners/BBQs.
  • Car boot sales/car wash.
  • Coffee mornings.
  • Wine tastings.

Do Administration

The charity is run by a small and dedicated team of Manx trustees and we are always looking for more helping hands. We desperately need people with secretarial, administrative, and communications skills to help ensure we stay on top of the legal requirements of handling charitable funds in a high risk jurisdiction.

Do a trip to Uganda

We are a hands-on charity, with our primary trustees visiting Uganda at least once a year, often more. If you have useful skills and strength to face extreme poverty head on, you would be welcome to join the team on a trip to the Kitgum region. Educators, farmers, healthcare workers, and builders would all be able to contribute immensely to the development of the local community there. Please note that all of these trips are self-funded.
